 Overview

Tunza children’s home is located 20KMS from Nairobi city, south west of Ngong town. This home has a total of 128 children, 60 in primary, 38 in secondary and 20 in pre-school. Since its inception the home has developed from the marshy slums of kibera where abandoned orphaned children used to be nursed and cared for to the now present modern structure located 10mins away from Ngong town.

Volunteers get an opportunity to get up-close and personal with this young growing children that has been neglected and get a chance to assist in feeding, clothing and educating them while actively assisting in the management of the home. If you have a passion for young children in Kenya, then this is a good opportunity for you to come and assist us in making the lives of these kids better through your volunteer spirit.

 What's Included
  • Airport Pickup: Volunteers will be picked from Jomo Kenyatta International Airport (Airport Code: NBO)
  • Accommodation: Volunteers will be hosted by a member of the project. You will need to have a sleeping bag and mat.
  • Food: Food is provided from what is locally availlable, but the volunteers will share in the responsibility of prepairing the food.
